False Aralias or Finger Aralia

Origin: Pacific Islands
Description: Also known as Threadleaf or False aralia, Finger arilia is a distinctive houseplant. Glossy green leaves have an attractive metallic sheen. This plant can grow 2-6 meters in height but is easily pruned back to more manageable proportions.
Position: Plants need a good filtered light but no direct sun. It helps to rotate plants from time to time, to ensure all parts receive some light. Temperatures should not fall below 16 degrees C.
Stumpy's Cultivation tips: Plant seeds in spring in rich potting mix. Use tepid water to keep plants moist, but not waterlogged. Feed with a soluble fertilizer every two weeks in all season except winter. Repot only when root bound approximately every two- three years.
Problems: Root rot, do not overwater!
