Marty Ware - about me !
Me and my business: My business and me
Hi there,
Thank you for taking an interest in Marty Ware the creator of this website. It’s quite flattering.
It is well known that, to succeed, we should do what we love – and love what we do. Problem is, it often takes us a few years to become aware of this. Some of us never become aware of it.
In my case the earth- gardening- has always been my passion, even before I knew it. I had my own lawn-mowing business at age eleven. Quite profitable, too.
At twelve, I had my first vegie patch and herb garden,a real joy, my friends laughed at me, but i did'nt care!
Anyway, time progressed. At eighteen I moved up to Byron Bay northern New South Wales Australia, and it is here that my interest in horticulture really took off.
Had to, I was batching. I grew more vegies and herbs, expanding it to the stage where I was selling locally. At the same time I managed a property for the famous Fins Restaurant.
However, eventually I had to close down. The drought, and new government sanctioned land restrictions rendered my gardening projects inviable. Still, I’d been bitten. Without knowing it, I was already doing what I loved- and loving what I was doing.
Shortly after the closure of my Byron Bay nursery I was travelling on my trail-bike when- Wham! A car and my machine made unexpected contact.
I was hurled through the air, to land battered and bruised, ending up with a badly fractured femur. The hospital people put in a steel pin but, after that I couldn’t do anything really physical for a while.
Blessing in disguise really!
It forced me to take stock. I realized that the accident could have been far worse and I was lucky to be alive.
So…I went back to school…agricultural school. I studied the Agricultural-business hard, eventually majoring in Australian Native Foods, Avocado Management, and Horticulture.
Even whilst doing all this, I periodically went to Indonesia- Bali and surrounds, mostly – to surf. I’d been a board surfer since I was fourteen. The New South Wales beaches are great.
But then I heard about Bali, then Vietnam, then Thailand. I had to try. After half-dozen-sojourns to the Indonesian surf areas, I left for Vietnam and, on the same trip, stopped in at Phuket.
Love at first site!
And something more: They had plenty of tourists but no surf school. What an opportunity.
What’s this? Qualifications?
I’ve been surfing for twenty years, mate! Oh, all right. Quick trip to Sydney to qualify.
Then back to Phuket where I started their first surfing school which I called –on my website- Surfing Phuket

It was successful. Going like a train.
Then Boxing Day 2004- the Tsunami. You know the rest. It wiped me out. I was out of business, and out of work.
However, it did have one saving grace. It brought me my partner, Mink. We’ve now been together for four years and have a child – a baby girl.
Whilst I was out assisting in search and rescue work –and incommunicado- Mink, who at that time was a friend, came looking for me. When she found me,well…love…you know.
We moved to Bangkok where I worked as an English teacher for two years. However, nothing stays the same forever; change in government, changes in attitudes towards foreign teachers, doubts about a future- time to come home to Australia.
What to do? Temporary jobs? Sure. But the great love for working with Nature…
Ah, but I’m now have other skills. I’m computer-literate. Maybe I can turn my hard-won knowledge into a livelihood. But where does one start?
The Internet- where else? Ah, but you have to be cautious. Lot of scams out there; lot of “get rich quick schemes.”
Eventually we came across a site which really “struck a cord.” It was called, “Site Buid It” (or SBI, as they call themselves)
It was called ,''Site Build It'' (or SBI , as they call themseves)
It is hard to explain how I was led to believe that SBI was legit. It wasn’t a scam. I just felt that their product presented a huge range of tools which could be used in figuring out how to compile, develop and attune a website. I have no HTML experience.
I also liked it very much that SBI could show us the proof of their successes in this area of website construction. If all this is a plug for SBI, so be it.
So thanks for your interest in me. I'm glad that you are. And I truly hope that you can get the information, tips, and advice that will help you, too:

The Law of Attraction states that "whatever we think about, we bring about". This law may initially seem like new age fluff but believe it or not, there are scientific merits to this proposition.
